Today has to be everyone’s least favorite Monday morning.
As you suffer through the first workday after losing an hour to Daylight Saving Time, we have these less-than-uplifting thoughts to offer:
- The collective national effect of losing all that sleep may actually be bad for our health. Studies have shown slight increases in heart attacks, strokes, and workplace injuries. “It throws a wrench into our circadian process,” sleep researcher Christopher Barnes told CNN as he explained why he’d like to eliminate Daylight Saving Time.
- If you’re a night owl, it may be even harder to adjust. So if you’re late to work Monday, it’s not your fault – it’s in your genes.
