Pediatric Family Advisory Council
Tampa General Hospital’s Pediatric Family Advisory Council (pFAC) is a diverse group of patients who meet regularly to advise Tampa General about ways to enhance the patient experience by providing more patient-centered care in an effort to help fulfill its goal of becoming the healthcare choice for our community. You can help create patient-centered care by sharing your insight and voice. By becoming a pFAC member and sharing your unique experience, you can help TGH improve its services and make a difference in the lives of other patients and families. If you are selected to become a member, you will be asked to serve a maximum three-year term. There is no educational background or experience required.
To become a member of the pFAC, you must:
- be a former patient, family member and/or caregiver
- be able to commit to serve yearly for a maximum of three years
- share Tampa General Hospital’s commitment to excellence in patient-centered care
- have a positive approach and ability to share and see different points of view
Joining the pFAC
Space is limited so it is possible that not all applicants will be able to serve on the council, but all applications will be kept on file for future openings. You will be contacted via the preferred method of contact you include on the application.

Pediatric Family Advisory Council Mission and Vision
The Pediatric Family Advisory Council, working in partnership with Tampa General Hospital’s staff, is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the delivery of a high quality, compassionate and supportive healthcare experience by refining policies, practices, education, resources, specialized services and facilities, thus providing a voice for the diverse patients and families who utilize Tampa General Hospital’s services.
The Tampa General Hospital Pediatric Family Advisory Council will provide feedback, discuss and help implement new ideas with the vision of supporting staff and improving the care for the patients and families they serve thereby creating a caring, competent, compassionate and family-friendly environment where the needs of the patient and family are given top priority while, at the same time, helping Tampa General Hospital to be known as the hospital of choice for the care of future patients because of their high standard of care.
