Tampa General Hospital's Community Wellness department offers a variety of programs to help you identify health risks, manage conditions and achieve better health. Classes and lectures are provided by TGH physicians and certified health educators. Many programs are free and a referral is not required. May 14 | Dental Health during COVID-19 I Virtual Event in partnership with MORE HEALTH, Inc.
While having your children home during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to ensure they stay healthy and safe through proper hygiene, nutrition and exercise. Good dental health management, including disease and injury prevention, is especially important. Join MORE HEALTH’s Karen Buckenheimer and Dr. Terry Buckenheimer, Past President of the Florida Dental Association, as they offer tips to parents on how to decrease cross-infection and the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

May 21 | COVID-19 Q&A With The Florida Poison Information Center I Virtual Event in partnership with MORE HEALTH, Inc.          
To keep hands clean, is it better to use hand sanitizer instead of soap and water? What products can I mix together to clean the house? What do I do if my child ingests hand sanitizer? Experts from the Florida Poison Information Center will answer these and other commonly asked questions.   

May 26 | Coping With Youth Stress & Anxiety During COVID-19 I Virtual Event in partnership with MORE HEALTH, Inc.          
Navigating the current climate of the COVID-19 pandemic and life changes is difficult for everyone, but can be especially difficult for children. Pediatric mental health experts from Tampa General Hospital will discuss how to address topics like stress and anxiety with your children.          

June 24 | Stop the Bleed I TGH Brandon Healthplex
Launched by the White House in October 2015, Stop the Bleed is a national campaign that highlights the importance of Stop the Bleed training. This awareness campaign encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Join us for our free Bleeding Control Basics class, taught by Tampa General Hospital instructors, and learn skills that can help you save a life during a bleeding emergency.
